Richard Schiff and Margot White will star in the McCarter Theatre’s revival of Lanford Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Talley’s Folley, to run October 12-November 2. The production, which will open officially on October 17, will be directed by Marshall W. Mason, who helmed the original Broadway production.

The play, set in 1944 Missouri, focuses on the unlikely love affair between Jewish account Matt Friedman and non-Jewish Sally Talley. Wilson’s other plays include Fifth of July, The Hot ‘L’ Baltimore, and Angels Fall, all of which were directed by Mason.

The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (sets), Jennifer von Mayrhauser (costumes), Phil Monat (lighting), and Chuck London (sound).

Schiff starred on stage in Underneath the Lintel and is best known for his Emmy Award-winning work as Toby Ziegler on NBC’s The West Wing. White’s stage credits include The Farnsworth Invention, When They Speak of Rita, and The Traveling Lady.
