Tony Award winners Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin will bring their touring concert engagement to the Mayo Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, September 11 at 8pm (rather than the previously reported October 1), which will officially open the Mayo Center’s 2010-2011 season.

The performers — who both won Tonys while starring opposite one another in Evita — reunite an evening of Broadway memories and music from such legendary composers as Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Kander and Ebb and Jerome Kern. The show is choreographed by Ann Reinking, and accompanied on piano by Paul Ford.

LuPone will be returning to Broadway this fall in the musical version of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakown, while Patinkin will be reprising his starring role in Rinne Groff’s Compulsion at Berkeley Repertory Theatre beginning September 13.
