Matt Lenz to Direct Paper Mill’s Hairspray; Show Extends Through October 24

Matt Lenz will direct and Michelle Lynch will choreograph the Paper Mill Playhouse’s production of the hit musical Hairspray, which will now play September 22 -October 24, instead of the previously announced October 17. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Lenz was recently the associate director for the musical on Broadway and in Las Vegas and Toronto. His other recent directing credits include: Wicked‘s 5th Anniversary Celebration at the Gershwin Theater on Broadway, Idaho! for the 2008 New York Musical Theater Festival, Saint Heaven, a world premiere musical at The Stamford Center for the Arts, and The Irish Curse.

Lynch choreographed last season’s Little House On The Prairie at the theater. Among her other credits are Everyday Rapture, Disney’s High School Musical and Meet Me in St. Louis.
