The Builders Association’s production of the Obie Award-winning Jet Lag will run September 23-October 3 at the Alexander Kasser Theater as part of the Peak Performances@Montclair Series. Marianne Weems will direct the production, which following its New Jersey engagement will embark on an international tour.

Written by Jessica Chalmers, Jet Lag explores the uses and abuses of technology in telling the stories of a sailor who tricked the world into believing he’d sailed around the globe and of a grandmother who died of jet lag by taking daily flights back and forth from New York to Amsterdam. The company will feature Moe Angelos, Jess Barbagallo, Nick Bonnar, David Pence, Kristen Sieh, and Joe Silovsky.

The production features design and concept by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, video by Christopher Kondek, sound by Dan Dobson, lighting by Jennifer Tipton, and computer animation by dbox.

The series will also include the world premieres of Prometheus-Landscape II (January 20-30), created and performed by Jan Fabre and his company Troubleyn, and Robert Whitman’s Passport (April 16-17).
