Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris Set for George Street Playhouse’s It Should Been You

Tony Award winner Harriet Harris will join the previously reported Tyne Daly in the world premiere new musical It Shoulda Been You at the George Street Playhouse, October 4-November 6. Tony and Emmy Award-Winning actor David Hyde Pierce will make his directorial debut with this production.

Featuring a book and lyrics by Brian Hargrove and music by Barbara Anselmi, the musical is about an interfaith wedding that spins out of control. Daly will play the mother of the bride, while Harris will play the mother of the groom.

Daly is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Master Class, and won a Tony for the 1989 revival of Gypsy. Harris won a Tony for Thoroughly Modern Millie, and is well known for her work in television’s Desperate Housewives. Pierce won a Tony for his performance in Curtains, and is best known for his work on television’s Frasier.
