Lynda Gravatt will play the title role in Premiere Stages’ production of Dominique Morisseau’s Follow Me to Nellie’s, to run July 14-31 in the Zella Fry Theatre in the Vaughn Eames Building at Kean University in Union New Jersey.

The show unfolds in the home of the infamous Nellie Jackson’s, where a hopeless blues singer is looking for a way out, a brave freedom fighter is looking for a way in, and a group of downtrodden women are looking for a new day.

Gravatt’s Broadway credits include in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, 45 Seconds From Broadway, King Hedley II, and Doubt. On television, she has appeared on Law & Order, One Life to Live, As the World Turns, and Sex and the City.
