Bernadette Peters to Sign Copies of Stella is a Star at Bookends on June 12

Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters will sign copies of her new children’s book, Stella is a Star, at Bookends, located at 232 East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ, on Saturday, June 12 at 11am.

The book is accompanied by an audio CD featuring a reading of the story along with an original song “Stella’s Song” written, composed and performed by Peters. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book benefits Broadway Barks and goes toward saving the lives of animals in shelters and raising awareness about the beauty of adoption.

Peters won Tony Awards for her work in Annie Get Your Gun and Song & Dance. Her many Broadway credits include Gypsy, Sunday in the Park With George, Into the Woods, and The Goodbye Girl. She is also the author of the book Broadway Barks. As recently announced, Peters will be taking over the lead role of Desiree Armfeldt in the Broadway production of A Little Night Music beginning July 13.
