New Jersey Youth Theatre to Present Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd

The New Jersey Youth Theatre will present Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s award-winning musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, July 17-26 at NJPAC’s Victoria Theatre in Newark, and at the Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan, New Jersey, July 31-August 9. The production will be directed by Cynthia Meryl, with musical direction by Ilene Greenbaum and choreography by Sherry Alban.
The cast of 30 actors, ages 15 to 22 years old, will include Kevin Melendez as Sweeney Todd, Jaclyn Ingoglia as Mrs. Lovett, Eryn LeCroy as Johanna, Stephen Mir as Anthony, Adam Bashian as Judge Turpin, Christopher Georgetti as the Beadle, Kirk Geritano as Pirelli, Carey Gsell as Tobias, and Lori Tishfield as Beggar Woman/Lucy.
