A. Bernard Cummings, Joel de la Fuente, Mark Mineart, et al. Set for Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Tempest

Casting has been announced for Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s production of The Tempest, to perform outdoors at the Greek Theatre on the campus of the College of St. Elizabeth, June 24-August 2. Joe Discher will direct.

In Shakespeare’s romance, a powerful, sage and exiled nobleman, Prospero, is marooned on a mysterious island full of magical creatures. He prepares to wreak havoc on those who have wronged him, only to learn that compassion and forgiveness are far richer rewards.

The production will star A. Bernard Cummings (Prospero), Joel de la Fuente (Ariel), Mark Mineart (Caliban), Rachel Mewbron (Miranda), Bill Christ (Alonso), Michael Ellison (Ferdinand), Andy Paterson (Trinculo), Jay Leibowitz (Stefano), Bryan Hicks (Antonio), and John Seidman (Gonzalo), with Jake Berger, Tim Nicolai and Ian Michael Austin.

The creative team will include Charles Calvert (set), Alixandra Gage Englund (costumes), Andrew Hungerford (lighting), and Charles Harbert (sound).
