Joy Franz Set for Misty Rowe’s Fandance: The Legend of Sally Rand

Broadway veteran Joy Franz will appear in a one-night-only performance of Misty Rowe’s dance musical Fandance: The Legend of Sally Rand at the Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven, NJ on March 20. In addition to writing and appearing alongside Franz in the show, Rowe also directs.

Fandance is based on the life and career of burlesque queen Rand. The company will also feature Amber Carpenter, Robin Field, and Steve Cassling. The production will feature multimedia design by Paul Mitton.

Franz’ credits include the original productions of Company and Into the Woods along with Pippin and Musical Chairs. Perhaps best known from her 19 seasons on television’s Hee Haw, Rowe has appeared on stage in Li’l Abner opposite Joe Namath and appeared across the country in Always…Patsy Cline.
