The Wizard of Oz twists its way into Waterbury for five performances at the Palace Theater. The exclusive Connecticut engagement of this all new production on National Tour will be the first show featured in the Palace's 2008-2009 Broadway Series with Opening Night sponsored by Waterbury Hospital and additional support from media sponsor WTNH/MyTV9.
The entire family will be captivated as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto and their friends the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow in this lavish production, featuring breathtaking special effects, dazzling choreography and classic songs. Based on the Royal Shakespeare Company's celebration of the iconic 1939 MGM film, The Wizard of Oz guarantees to blow audiences away from the moment the tornado touches down and transports them to a dazzling art deco Oz, complete with munchkins and flying monkeys.
