At 26 years old, Louisiana native Marc Broussard sings and plays like a tortured old Southern soul. His passionate, soulful voice and bluesy guitar work help listeners recall Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding, which would be an absolutely crazy thing to say if it wasn't Broussard. His latest album, Keep Coming Back, helps settle his fans' one complaint -that his intense live show towers over his studio recordings. Rolling Stone says this about the new album, "Marc Broussard's early albums established him as the heir to Texas white-soul icon Delbert McClinton. But Keep Coming Back shows [him] coming into his own." There will soon come a time when Marc Broussard is too big for StageOne, and fortunately that time is not now.
Opening is Charlie Mars.
