WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Dawes has harnessed the approach, sound and spirit of groups like CSN and CCR. Hailing from the same area of Laurel Canyon, CA, the folk rockers make their own cables, repair their own amps and record on tape. To form the debut North Hills, producer Jonathan Wilson invited Conor Oberst, Chris Robinson and Benmont Trench from Tom Petty's Heartbreakers for a jam session that lent heavily to the record's overall timeless vibe.
