Some call them a Django Reinhardt-esque gypsy jazz band, others say they're a traveling circus, and still others might confuse them with a Beatles tribute band. But you really don't know them until you see them at StageOne, where their now-famous theatrical performance style was born earlier this year at the Bouquet CD-release party. After touring the country for months and being celebrated at every stop, we welcome back some of our closest friends - local artists and singer/songwriters Fuzz and Carrie San Giovanni, violinist Ben Dean and double bassist Brian Anderson (of St. Bernadette, Raison Hill and 930 Moon). With tight instrumentation, elaborate and beautiful lyrics and vocals and exploding with playful energy, the Thieves are like no other band in the world and we couldn't be prouder to have them back.
Opening 10/30 is The Guggenheim Grotto.
