WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Gordon Edelstein directs Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten. The play is a unique blend of comedy, tragedy, and autobiography. O'Neill's final play is his most lyrical elegy of love and compassion, happiness and redemption, forgiveness and grace. To secure the farm a father schemes to take advantage of the mutual adoration between his daughter and James Tyrone Jr. In an emotional conclusion, these two "misbegotten" lovers come together to realize the truth about themselves and the tragedy of their future. The cast features John Procaccino (Long Wharf We Won't Pay! We Won't Pay!), Alyssa Bresnahan (Hartford Stage's Night of the Igauna), and Bill Raymond (Hartford Stage's A Christmas Carol).
