Long Wharf Theatre Announces 2018-19 Season

”A Doll’s House, Part 2”, ”Tiny Beautiful Things”, ”Paradise Blue”, and other works will be produced.

Long Wharf Theatre has announced its 2018-19 season.

The season will begin with Jen Silverman's The Roommate, directed by Mike Donahue, running October 10-November 4 at the C. Newton Schenck III Theatre's Claire Tow Stage. Following that, also at the Claire Tow Stage, will be Dominique Morisseau's Paradise Blue, November 21-December 16.

Boo Killebrew's Miller, Mississippi — described as a "tale of a Southern family struggling with the radical changes of the civil rights movement" — will run January 9-February 3, 2019, on Stage II, in a production directed by Lee Sunday Evans. Then, at the Claire Tow Stage, Nia Vardalos's adaptation of Cheryl Strayed's Tiny Beautiful Things will run February 13-March 10, 2019.

An Iliad, a modern adaptation of Homer's famous epic poem by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare, based on Robert Fagles's translation, will run on Stage II March 27-April 21, 2019. Finally, the season will close with Lucas Hnath's A Doll's House, Part 2, running May 1-26, 2019, on the Claire Tow Stage.
