Jenn Mello, Kenneth Murray, Tim Stabers, Aleta Stanton Set for The Mischief Makers

Long Wharf Theatre will present Lowell Swortzell’s family comedy The Mischief Makers, directed by Kristianna Smith, as its annual Next Stage production for young audiences throughout late March.

The comedy weaves together African, Native American and European folklore as a trio made up of Anansi the Spider, Reynard the Fox, and the Raven, reenact their exploits to decide who among them is the trickiest of all.

The cast will feature Jenn Mello, Kenneth Murray, Tim Stabers and Aleta Stanton. The creative team is made up of Marissa Friedman (assistant director/dramaturg), Luke Reinwald (set design), Jason Pratt (lighting design), Abbey Steere (costume design), Darlene Richardson (sound design) and Craig Harlow (props).

Public performances will take place on Saturday, March 24 at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., Sunday, March 25 at 2 p.m., and Saturday, March 31 at 2 p.m. School performances will take place March 27 – March 30 at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Admission is free for school performances, with a suggested donation of $5 for the public performances.
