Old flames are rekindled and love affairs ignite in this farce about Desiree Armfeldt, a famous actress, and her weekend guests: an ex-lover, Fredrik, his much-younger bride, and son -- a divinity student. Desiree's designs on Fredrik are upset by her current paramour -- a very jealous count.

The hit "Send in the Clowns" and elegant waltzes drive this bittersweet comedy -- the winner of six Tony awards including best musical, script, and score. Isaac Mizrahi directs, and also creates the sets and costumes. Opera Theatre Music Director Stephen Lord conducts.
