Peggy Sue Gerron, whose name was immortalized in Buddy Holly's hit song "Peggy Sue", is scheduled to take part in the opening festivities for The History Theatre's production of Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story on October 3, according to a report in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. The bio-musical, directed by Ron Peluso, will run through November 1.

The opening celebration will include other special guests who will reminisce about Holly's Winter Dance Party Tour performance in Minnesota, which preceded the plane crash that killed the singer.
