Raye Birk has replaced Tom Tammi as Tobias in the Guthrie Theater production of Edward Albee's family drama A Delicate Balance, to run January 10-March 1. The production, which will open officially on January 16, will be directed by Gary Gisselman.

As previously announced, the show will also star Margaret Daly (Agnes), Candy Buckley (Claire), Charity Jones (Julia), Stephen Yoakam (Harry), and Edna (Angela Timberman). The creative team will include John Arnone (sets), David Kay Mickelsen (costumes), Don Darnutzer (lighting), and Reid Rejsa (sound).

Birk recently concluded his fourth consecutive year as Scrooge in the Guthrie's A Christmas Carol. Additional credits include the Guthrie's Pride and Prejudice, Copenhagen at Seattle Rep, and the title role of King Lear for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.
