Mu Performing Arts presents a Theater Mu Musical Adaptation The Walleye Kid: The Musical, featuring m usic and lyrics by Kurt Miyashiro, and a book by R. A. Shiomi and Sundraya Kase. Directed by Jon Cranney.
A Theater Mu favorite returns...as a musical! The Walleye Kid: The Musical tells the story of a Minnesota couple who long for a child. One night while ice fishing, they reel in a colossal walleye, from which emerges Annie, a Korean baby girl. Newly created songs, mask dance, and powerful drum rhythms create a timeless setting for this tale that conveys the uniqueness and universality of adoption.
