The possibilities of medical technology fracture a seemingly healthy two-culture, two-language household in Mixed Blood Theatre's season opener, Sweet Nothing in My Ear, a gripping drama about a multi-generational family's struggle between two worlds: the hearing and the deaf.

Performed in ASL and spoken English with a cast of hearing and deaf actors, the play sheds light on the ways in which we all are able to love and hear each other.
