WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Sex. Secrets. Performance-art video blogs with a George Michael beat. Just another typical day when you're a teenager. Stephen Karam's fiercely funny play, Speech & Debate, follows Solomon, Diwata, and Howie, three high school misfits who each possess a secret. These three awkwardly join forces to create their school's first-ever Speech and Debate Club, where they plan to use their right to freedom of expression to boldly expose what they've had to hide. Could this be their chance to be heard at last?

Great Show
I went last night to see this with no expectations going in, but came out so thrilled that I took the time to see it. It was so funny and modern and topical. Did I say funny? I havent laughed so much at a play in years. I really enjoyed the entire experience and hope the show attracts the attention it deserves. Five Stars!!

RE:Wow!
It is unbelievably funny and political and hip and thought-provoking. About gender, sexual preference, oppression, and public policy ??and struggling through early adulthood?..I smiled and laughed til my face hurt?. as the lights went up, the guy next to me turned to me and said ?smiling for two hours made my jaws hurt!?
Worth going. VERY worth going. Spread the word.
