Sonny Valicenti and Laura Esposito to Star in Guthrie & Acting Company’s Romeo & Juliet Tour

Full casting has been announced for The Guthrie Theater and The Acting Company’s co-production and national tour of Romeo and Juliet, which will debut at the Guthrie, running January 9 – January 31, in anticipation of a 25-city tour through 18 states. Penny Metropulos will direct.

Sonny Valicenti and Laura Esposito will play the title roles in a company that also features Hugh Kennedy (Benvolio), Elizabeth Stahlmann (Nurse/Samson), William Sturdivant (Mercutio/Prince), Christine Weber (Lady Capulet), Jamie Smithson (Paris/Abraham), Isaac Woofter (Tybalt/Apothecary), Chris Thorn (Capulet), Jesse Bonnell (Gregory/Friar John), Raymond L. Chapman (Friar Laurence), Jason McDowell Green (Montague/Peter), and Myxolydia Tyler (Lady Montague/Balthasar).
