Illusion Theater Announces Cast for Willa Cather’s My Antonia

Illusion Theater has announced casting for its world premiere presentation of Willa Cather’s My Antonia, adapted by Allison Moore. The show will perform at the Hennepin Center for The Arts, February 19-March 20. Michael Robins will direct.

The play is told through the memories of narrator Jim Burden, who after twenty years of living in the East returns to his small prairie town to see Antonia, the Czech immigrant girl who shaped his understanding of life. Post-show discussions with guest speakers will follow select performances.

The cast will include Katie Guentzel, John Catron, Brian Goranson, Beth Gilleland, Angie Haigh, and Molly Sue MacDonald, supported by musicians performing music by Roberta Carlson. The design team will include Dean Holzman (set), Mike Wangen (lighting), and Kathy Kohl (costumes).
