I Wish You Love Extended Through December 18

St. Paul’s Penumbra Theatre Company has announced the addition of 14 performances of I Wish You Love making the new closing date December 18.

A drama with music, I Wish You Love depicts a fictionalized episode in the life of Nat “King” Cole which focuses on the conflicting realities of Cole’s life in and out of the public eye. Featuring 20 of his signature songs, the play uses Cole’s television show, newscasts and commercials to illustrate the man, the times and the racially charged drama behind the sanitizing lens of the television camera.

The cast includes Eric Berryman (Jeffrey Prince), Dennis W. Spears (Nat “King” Cole), Michael Tezla (Bell Henry/News Anchor), and Kevin D. West (Oliver Moore).
