The Guthrie Theater has announced the complete lineup of programming for its 2011-2012 studio theater season, according to a report in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

The year in the space will begin with Walking Shadow Theatre Company’s production of Neil LaBute’s reasons to be pretty, running September 16 – October 2. Other offerings in the space will come from Carlyle Brown & Company, which will present Brown’s Are You Now or Have You Ever Been (May 4-20), which focuses on Langston Hughes on the eve of his testimony before Senator Joseph McCarthy; and two dance offerings: Shapiro & Smith Dance’s Anytown (June 21-24) and Sossy Mechanics’ Trick Boxing (August 17 – September 2, 2012).

In addition, the programming in the studio theater will include Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar (January 14 – February 5), Conor McPherson’s The Birds (February 25 – April 8), and, as previously reported, Adam Rapp’s The Edge of Our Bodies (October 22 – November 20).
