Guthrie Announces Cast for Anytown, Featuring Music by Bruce Springsteen, Patti Scialfa, Sooze Tyrell
Casting has been announced for the Guthrie Theater’s production of Anytown, Danial Shapiro and Joanie Smith’s dance piece using the music of Bruce Springsteen, Patti Scialfa and Soozie Tyrell, running June 21-24 at the Dowling Studio.
Following three families whose lives are entangled in a web of desire and need, the production will feature local dance artists Maggie Bergeron, Jose Bueno, Carl Flink, Emilie Plauché Flink, Megan McClellan, Scott Mettille, Kari Mosel, Eddie Oroyan, Justin Reiter and Laura Selle Virtucio.
Shapiro and Smith are the founders of Shapiro & Smith Dance, a group that blends contemporary dance and dramatic theater. Their work has been seen across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Canada.
