Steven Epp, Kris Nelson, Sally Wingert, et al. Set for Ten Thousand Things 2010-2011 Season

Ten Thousand Things has announced the productions for its 2010-11 season, as well as partial casting.

The season will kick off with a production of Pedro Calderon de la Barca’s Life Is a Dream, directed by Michelle Hensley, and featuring Maggie Chestovich, Christiana Clark, Stephen D’Ambrose, Namir Smallwood, and Dennis Spears. The show begins its tour to prisons, housing projects and homeless shelters October 14 and ends with four weekends of public performances: October 29-31 at Open Book, November 5-7 at Minnesota Opera Center, then back to Open Book November 12-21.

John Patrick Shanley’s Doubt will star Sally Wingert and Kris Nelson, and be directed by Peter Rothstein. The show begins its tour January 27 and ends with four weekends of public performances at Open Book February 11-March 6.

The season will concludes with the musical Man of La Mancha, by Dale Wasserman, Joe Darion and Mitch Leigh. The cast will include Steven Epp, Isabell Monk O’Connor, Luverne Seifert, Tracey Maloney and T. Mychael Rambo. The show tours beginning March 31, closing with four weekends of public performances:April 15-24 at Minnesota Opera Center, April 29-May 1 at Open Book, and May 6-8 back at the Opera Center.
