Gretchen Egolf to Join Ricardo Antonio Chavira in Guthrie Theater’s A Streetcar Named Desire

Gretchen Egolf will play Blanche DuBois, joining the previously announced Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Stanley Kowalski), in Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire, to run July 3 – August 29 on the Wurtele Thrust Stage at the Guthrie Theater. John Miller-Stephany will direct the production.

The company will also feature Liam Benzvi (A Young Collector), Raye Birk (Doctor), Yolanda Cotterall (Mexican Woman), Beth Gilleland (Nurse), Brian Keane (Harold “Mitch” Mitchell), Ann Michels (Eunice Hubbell), Stacia Rice (Stella Kowalski), Steve Sweere (Steve Hubbell), Dario Tangelson (Pablo Gonzales) and Regina Marie Williams (Negro Woman).

The creative team will include Todd Rosenthal (scenic design), Mathew J. LeFebvre (costume design), Peter Mumford (lighting design), Scott W. Edwards (sound design), and Adam Wernick (original music).

Eglof appeared on Broadway in Ring Round the Moon and has been seen Off-Broadway in All This Intimacy, Modern Orthodox, and More Lies About Jerry. Her film credits include The Namesake, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and Quiz Show
