Kathleen Chalfant, Nikki Renee Daniels, Linda Emond, Stephen Spinella, and More Set for Guthrie’s Kushner Celebration

Casting has been announced for the three productions slated to headline the Guthrie Theater’s Tony Kushner Celebration, which will play April through June.

Greta Oglesby will star in the title role of Caroline, or Change, to be directed by Marcela Lorca, April 18-June 21. The cast will also include Michelle Barber, Jamecia Bennett, Felicia R. Boswell, Aimee K. Bryant, Nikki Renee Daniels, Lynnea Doublette, Bradley Greenwald, Kenny Morris, T. Mychael Rambo, Julie Reiber, Peter Thomson, Aurelia Williams, and Regina Marie Williams. Children in the cast will include Noah Coon, Jake Ingbar, Julius Andrews IV, Zadir King, Versell Ford IV, and Jackson M. Hurst.

The world premiere of The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures (May 9- June 28), to be directed by Michael Greif, will feature Kathleen Chalfant, Linda Emond, Stephen Spinella, Ron Menzel, Sun Mee Chimet, Charity Jones, and Michelle O’Neill.

tinyKUSHNER (May 16-June 7), a collection of Kushner’s short plays to be directed by Tony Taccone, will feature J.C. Cutler, Kate Eifrig, Jim Lichtscheidl, and Valeri Mudek.

In addition to the three plays, the Celebration will include opportunities to hear directly from Tony Kushner (June 8), as well as New York Times op-ed columnist Frank Rich (May 11), and Lambda Legal executive director Kevin M. Cathcart (May 23-24).
