The Guthrie Theater has announced casting for its upcoming production of Conor McPherson’s adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s short story The Birds, to run February 25-April 8. Henry Wishcamper will direct.

When strangers Nat and Diane take refuge in an abandoned house from the unnerving masses of birds that attack everyone around them, they find relative sanctuary but not peace: there’s no electricity, little food, and the birds always return.

J.C. Cutler and Angela Timberman will play the roles of Nat and Diane, respectively. The cast will also feature Summer Hagen (Julia) and Stephen Yoakam (Tierney).

The design team will include Wilson Chin (set design), Jenny Mannis (costume design), Matthew Richards (lighting design), and Scott W. Edwards (sound design).
