Kristine Nielsen and Sally Wingert will star in the Guthrie Theater production of Arsenic and Old Lace, to play the Wurtele Thrust Stage, April 9-June 5, with an opening on April 15. Joe Dowling will direct. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

In this farcical black comedy, spinster sisters Abby and Martha Brewster are devoted to charity and family. But the sisters have taken on another project as well – befriending lonely older gentlemen and then poisoning them with arsenic-laced elderberry wine.

Nielsen recently appeared on Broadway in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, with other Main Stem credits including Les Liaisons Dangereuses, To Be or Not To Be, Spring Awakening, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Greenbird, Jackie: An American Life and The Iceman Cometh. Wingert, a Guthrie regular, is current making her Broadway debut in La Bête.
