Erik Heger, Michelle O’Neill to Star in Guthrie’s Macbeth

Erik Heger and Michelle O’Neill will star as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, respectively, in the Guthrie Theater‘s production of Macbeth, which marks the company’s 50th production of a Shakespeare play. It will be presented on the Wurtele Thrust Stage, January 30-April 3, with an opening on February 5. Joe Dowling will direct.

The cast also includes Sam Bardwell (Sergeant/Seyton), Robert O. Berdahl (Macduff), Sun Mee Chomet (Lady Macduff), Raye Birk (Duncan), Bill McCallum (Banquo), J.C. Cutler (Lenox), Bob Davis (Rosse), Tyson Forbes (Cathness/Murderer), Peter Christian Hansen (Menteth/Murderer), James Noah (Angus), Kris L. Nelson (Porter), Benjamin Rosenbaum (Donalbain/Servant), John Skelley (Malcolm), Barbara Bryne (Weird Sister), Isabell Monk O’Connor (Weird Sister/Doctor) and Suzanne Warmanen (Weird Sister/Gentlewoman). Young actors playing the children of Macduff and Banquo include Noah Coon, Charlie Lincoln, Elizabeth McCormick, Nina Moschkau, Nicholas Saxton, and Graham Zima.

The creative team includes Monica Frawley (set and costume designer), Frances Aronson (lighting designer), Adam Wernick (composer), Scott W. Edwards (sound designer), and John Stead (fight direction).
