The play is based upon the love story of famous British author and scholar, C. S. Lewis, a committed bachelor, Christian, and Oxford professor, with outspoken American poet, Joy Gresham.

The cast will also include Julian Bailey (Dr. Maurice Oakley / Clerk / Doctor / Waiter in Hotel), Jennifer Blagen (Nurse / Woman in Tea Room / Witness), Bob Davis (Christopher Riley), Tucker Garborg (Douglas), Jonas Goslow (Alan Gregg / Waiter in Tea Room / Registrar / Priest), Charity Jones (Joy Gresham Davidman), Mykola Rieland (Douglas), James A. Stephens (Major W. H. Lewis) and Peter Thomson (Rev. "Harry" Harrington).

The creative team will include Patrick Clark (set), Devon Painter (costumes), Marcus Dilliard (lighting), and Scott W. Edwards (sound).

Jones' Broadway credits include The Real Thing, Benefactors, Getting Married, Private Lives, The Real Inspector Hound, The Herbal Bed, Ring Round the Moon, and Waiting in the Wings. He is well known for his television roles of Arthur Dent in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Bridey in Brideshead Revisited. He has previously portrayed C.S. Lewis in the 2004 PBS series The Question of God: Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis, and in two staged readings of works by Kenneth Cavander.
