Synopsis

The Broadway classic Show Boat docks at Macomb Center for the Performing Arts loaded down with some of the most memeorable tunes in musical theater history like "Old Man River" and "Only Make Believe." This love story set in the mid 1800's tells of "life upon the wicked stage" and revolves around the theatrical Hawks family as they perform on the Cotton Blossom, a show boat on the Mississippi. It's both a touching and poignant look at life along the river.
