Actor-playwright Jeff Daniels' newest work Escanaba will debut at Michigan's Purple Rose Theatre Company, September 17-December 19.

The play, which is the final installment in Daniels' "Yooper" trilogy will be directed by Guy Sanville and co-star Wayne David Parker and Tom Whalen. Daniels is currently starring on Broadway in God of Carnage and will be seen next month in the film The Answer Man.

The PRTC season will continue with the world premiere of David MacGregor's Gravity, starring Alex Leydenfrost as Sir Isaac Newton (February 11-March 27), and Thornton Wilder's classic drama Our Town (April 15-May 29). Both productions will be directed by Sanville. The company's summer production will be announced shortly.
