Purple Rose Theatre Company Announces 2008-2009 Season

The Purple Rose Theatre Company has announced the line-up for its 2008-2009 season which will feature four plays, including two world premieres. Guy Sanville will direct all season productions.

The season will open with Apartment 3A, October 16 – December 20, a modern comedy by Jeff Daniels with adult language, humor and polar bear love. The cast will feature Matthew David, Michael Brian Ogden, Rhiannon Ragland, and Will David Young. Purple Rose will present Tennessee Williams’ quintessential drama, A Streetcar Named Desire, January 22-March 21. The cast will feature Michelle Mountain as Blanche, Qarie Marshall as Stanley, and Charlyn Swarthout as Stella with a supporting cast including Matthew David, Rhonda English, Stacie Hadgikosti, Grant R. Krause, Hugh Maguire, Tristan Peach, Phil Powers, and Rhiannon Ragland.

The world premiere of Bleeding Red by Michael Brian Ogden, April 9-May 30, will feature Heidi Bennett, Matthew Gwynn, Michael Brian Ogden, and Matthew David; and the season will close with Wake by Carey Crim, another world premiere production, June 18-August 29, with a cast that will include Michelle Mountain and Stacie Hadgikosti.
