WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
An amusing send-up of Hollywood - where coming out of the closet for an actor can still be a taboo. Douglas Carter Beane, the author of As Bees in Honey Drown, once again looks at fame and deception - both on screen and behind-the-scenes - in The Little Dog Laughed. The players are a hard-driving Hollywood agent, her budding screen idol client, a sexy young drifter, and the drifter's naive, needy girlfriend.
