WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

In such Broadway classics as The Sound of Music, Carousel, South Pacific, and Oklahoma, the legendary songwriting team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II forever changed the landscape of the American musical theatre. Some Enchanted Evening -- a creative revue of some of their best and most beloved songs -- powerfully demonstrates how the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein has become such an enduring part of our everyday lives. Some of the numerous songs showcased in this infectiously happy revue are "Some Enchanted Evening," "Hello, Young Lovers," "People Will Say We're In Love," "Younger Than Springtime," "Shall We Dance," "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Out-A My Hair," "There is Nothing Like A Dame," and "Sixteen Going On Seventeen." This concert version of their music will be presented in Gusman Concert Hall adjacent to the Jerry Herman Ring Theatre.
