WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Created and directed by Edinburgh Fringe First winner Yael Farber, Artistic Director, Amajuba (meaning dove) is an intimate portrayal of growing up in apartheid South Africa. These real-life stories told by the five-member cast of men and women are powerful, truthful, humorous and moving. From townships to remote villages, the effects of oppression, poverty and violence cast emotional shrapnel far and wide. These personal stories, interwoven with dance and unforgettable songs, are a personal testimony to hope and future through reconciliation.
