MEDIA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

The Media Theatre is one of Philadelphia's most popular theatres. With an annual attendance of over 40,000, the professional music theatre company produces a full season of classic Broadway titles (My Fair Lady, Oliver) as well as new, fresh titles (Altar Boyz, All Shook Up). It also has a Children's Series which produces five shows per season.
It co-operates with the Pennsylvania Veteran's Museum, only two blocks away, producing theatre pieces which highlight the value of service of our troops and which educate young people of all ages.

During the summer months, Camp Media Theatre educates and enlightens young people ages 6 and up who have an interest in theatre. The Teen Camp, now heading into its fourth summer, will produce Footloose in 2009.
The Media Theatre (Artistic Director Jesse Cline) is the cornerstone of State Street in the beautiful suburb of Media and is only 25 minutes from Center City Philadelphia.

Easily accessible by interstate, SEPTA, or trolley, The Media Theatre's mission statement is to promote and nurture the imagination, diversity, and joy unique to music theatre by the production of new and classic works; to herald music theatre to young people as an art form that is relevant to their lives and to foster an understanding by them that it is indigenous to their cultural heritage.
