Complete Casting Announced for Nicholas Martin-Directed Production of Pygmalion at Williamstown Theatre Festival

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike director Martin returns to WTF after his Tony-nominated Broadway turn.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten has announced the complete cast and creative team for Pygmalion, its fourth 2013 season production to be presented on the main stage from July 17-27 (opening July 18).

Returning for his 16th season, recent Tony Award nominee Nicholas Martin (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) will direct the Nobel Prize-winning George Bernard Shaw classic. The cast will be led by Tony winner Robert Sean Leonard (The Invention of Love) as Henry Higgins, Heather Lind (Boardwalk Empire) as Eliza Doolittle, and Paxton Whitehead (WTF’s She Stoops to Conquer) as Colonel Pickering. The cast will also feature Tony Award nominee Maureen Anderman (The Lady from Dubuque) as Mrs. Higgins, Patricia Conolly (The Sound of Music) as Mrs. Eynsford Hill, Caitlin O’Connell (The Heiress) as Mrs. Pearce, and Don Lee Sparks (Take Me Out) as Mr. Doolittle. Rounding out the company are Dan O’Brien (Arms and the Girl) as Bystander 1, Maura Hooper as Clara, Federico Rodriguez as Freddy Hill, Alex Seife as Taxi Man, and Ariana Seigel as Parlor Maid.

The creative team includes scenic design by Alexander Dodge, lighting design by Phillip Rosenberg, and costume design by Andrea Hood and Gabriel Berry, with music composed by Mark Bennett.
