ADVENTURE presents:
Go Dog, Go!
Go Dog, Go! Tickets and Information
Synopsis
Go Dog, Go!, a beloved children's classic, written and illustrated by P.D. Eastman ("Are you My Mother?"), has been enchanting readers for ages. Eastman, a protégé of Theodor Geisel (Dr. Seuss), is often confused for his mentor, but developed his own particular style during his work with Disney and Warner Bros. "Go, Dog. Go!," written in 1961, met the Random House Beginner Book challenge, a series written as a direct response to the lack of realism in school primers of the day. The series, codified by Seuss and Phyllis Cerf, required strict adherence to a basic vocabulary list, with words and phrases repeated for reinforcement. Eastman's "Go, Dog. Go!" characters are all of a similar species to be sure, but are vivid and distinct, both in color and in personality, not unlike the millions of children who still enjoy this age-old story.
