E. Faye Butler will star in the title role of the Baltimore CENTERSTAGE production of the Tony Award-nominated musical Caroline, or Change, to run December 10-January 11. The production will be directed by David Schweizer. Additional casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.

Written by Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori, the show focuses on Caroline Thibodeax, an angry African-American housekeeper working for a well-meaning Jewish family in Louisiana in 1963.

Butler recently played the role at Chicago's Court Theatre, and has previously appeared at CENTERSTAGE in such shows as Trouble in Mind, Once on this Island, Ain't Misbehavin', and Dinah Was.
