WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Spend a star struck Sunday afternoon with Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim in a lively chat hosted by The Washington Post theater critic Peter Marks! Winner of eight Tony Awards, the Pulitzer Prize, an Academy Award, Grammy Awards and countless additional honors, this witty, literary lion of American theater has penned some of the most memorable Broadway classics of the last 50 years, from writing the lyrics for West Side Story and Gypsy, to composing both music and lyrics for his crowning achievements including Company, Sunday in the Park with George, Sweeney Todd and Assassins. And Sondheim has stories to tell, as evidenced by his critically acclaimed new memoir Finishing the Hat: "Brilliant...Sondheim's anecdotes involving legendary showbiz names are historical footnotes to some of the last century's great musicals" (Paul Simon, The New York Times Book Review).
