Round House Theatre has extended its new production of Suzan-Lori Parks' Father Comes Home From The Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3) through February 28.

Inspired by the stories and scope of Greek tragedy, the trilogy tells the story of Hero, a former slave from West Texas. During the turmoil of the Civil War he travels east to the Confederate battlefield and is confronted by the mess of war and the cost of freedom.

Timothy Douglas directs the drama, which features JaBen Early, Valeka J. Holt, KenYatta Rogers, Craig Wallace, Jefferson A. Russell, Jon Hudson Odom, Story Ayers, Ian Anthony Coleman, Tim Getman, and Michael Kevin Darnall.

The creative team includes Tony Cisek (set design), Helen Huang (costume design), Andrew R. Cissna (lighting design), and Eric Shimelonis (sound design).

The show was originally scheduled to end its run on February 21.
