First Look at Round House's Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3)

Round House Theatre has released rehearsal images from its production of Suzan-Lori Parks' Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3), which will run from January 27-February 21. Timothy Douglas is set to direct.

Set during the Civil War, Father Comes Home From the Wars follows a slave, Hero, from West Texas to the Confederate battlefield. Inspired in part by the stories and scope of Greek tragedy, this trilogy examines the mess of war and the true cost of freedom.

Valeka J. Holt plays Penny, with Ian Anthony Coleman as Fourth, Jefferson A. Russell as Leader of Slaves, and Jon Hudson Odom as Second in Father Comes Home From the Wars by Suzan-Lori Parks.

The cast will feature JaBen Early, Valeka J. Holt, KenYatta Rogers, Craig Wallace, Jefferson A. Russell, Jon Hudson Odom, Stori Ayers, Ian Anthony Coleman, Tim Getman, and Michael Kevin Darnall. The artistic team includes scenic designer Tony Cisek, costume designer Helen Huang, lighting designer Andrew R. Cissna, sound designer Eric Shimelonis, and props master Kasey Hendricks
