WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Michael Dinwiddie's play tells the story of Harlem Renaissance writer Angelina Grimke. Grimke's family opposed her romance with fellow writer Mary Burrell, with tragic results. This free staged reading is part of Lorna Littleway's Juneteenth Festival of New Plays, hosted by The Actors Theatre of Louisville. It is presented by the Blue Program, which is celebrating Gay and Lesbian Pride month.
