Works by Greg Kotis, Lisa Kron, et al. to Be Part of the 36th Annual Humana Festival of New American Plays

Actors Theatre of Louisville has announced the plays that will receive world premiere productions during the 36th Annual Humana Festival of New American Plays, to run February 26 – April 1.

The Festival will open with Lisa Kron’s The Veri**on Play, to be directed by Nicholas Martin. Also in the Humana Festival are Idris Goodwin’s How We Got On, to be directed by Wendy C. Goldberg and start performances March 2; Mona Mansour’s The Hour of Feeling, to be directed by Mark Wing-Davey and begin performances March 6; Courtney Baron’s Eat Your Heart Out, which will be directed by Adam Greenfield, and start performances March 9); Lucas Hnath’s Death Tax, which will be staged by Ken Rus Schmoll, and have its first performance on March 20; and Greg Kotis’ Michael von Siebenburg Melts Through Floorboards, to be directed by Kip Fagan and enter the Festival repertory on March 22.

In addition, the Humana Festival will include Oh, Gastronomy!, an evening of short plays by Michael Golamco, Carson Kreitzer, Steve Moulds, Tanya Saracho and Matt Schatz, and an evening of three Ten-Minute Plays. Writers and title of these latter pieces, along with casting and creative will be announced shortly.
